Programme Offered

PGDM- Full Time (2 Years)

This Programme prepares young talented managers to undertake challenging responsibilities in the development organizations and in the rural sector. It is a 2-year full time programme leading to the academic award of Post-Graduate Diploma in Management(PGDM), with specialization in Rural Management, Marketing, Finance and HRM.

A student is expected to specialize in any one of the above areas of specialization by taking up the same as a major and any other subject as a minor elective.

The programme is conducted on the pattern of similar programmes offered by the IIM system in India and MBA of international standards. This is evident from the fact that apart from the classroom component of the programme, the students are provided with industrial/rural internship of varying durations of not less than 45 days. Participants of this programme are highly valued in local, national and international organizations, NGOs, corporates, development organizations, and funding agencies.

Admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is through MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi. Based on the scores obtained by students who opt for Institute of Rural Management Jodhpur, short-listed students are invited for Group Discussions and Personal Interview (GDPI). The final selection of students for PGDM is based on the overall scores obtained in MAT, GDPI and past academic performance.
